Serving Hospitals and Long-Term Care Communities

HOSPITAL-BASED INTERNAL MEDICINE

We are Board-Certified/Eligible Internal Medicine Specialists with extensive experience in primary care, critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics and end-of-life care. Our practice is dedicated to patient management and consulting services in hospitals and nursing facilities located in the Greater New Orleans area. We provide continuous hospital coverage services for individual physicians and group practices, as well as hospital coverage for limited lengths of time for physicians on extended leave, vacation, or other circumstances.

LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY-BASED INTERNAL MEDICINE

Our physicians and nurse practitioners are experienced in managing the medical needs of residents in nursing homes, assisted living and elderly group homes working in conjunction with the staff of each facility. We develop and oversee the implementation of individualized plans of care for each of our residents and make monthly on-site visits to identify and address early on emerging problems. A wound prevention and surveillance program is utilized on all our patients which allows us to develop, implement, and monitor wound-specific treatment place resulting in a high rate of healing.

HOME-BOUND ELDERLY SERVICES

We accept elderly, frail, home-bound patients on a case-by-case basis to take over as primary care providers when it becomes too physically difficult to travel to a doctor's office for regular medical care. The management in these circumstances is often coordinated in conjunction with reliable support systems at home, including family members, home health, personal attendant and/or hospice agencies.

HOSPICE CARE FOR TERMINAL ILLNESS

We are experienced in palliative and hospice care medicine. Our medical staff can assist in setting up, managing and monitoring the plan of care for hospice services. Such services can be provided in an inpatient unit, at a skilled nursing facility, or in a home-based setting for individuals with a terminal illness and/or a life-expectancy of six months or less due to advanced age, debility, or other condition.
